Appointment FAQs

Is the appointment really free?

Yes — completely free. We are a community initiative funded by donations. You will never be charged for our advice.

What should I bring?

Any relevant documents — letters, contracts, court papers, tenancy agreements. The more context you can share, the better we can help.

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely. You are welcome to bring a trusted friend, family member or support worker to your appointment.

What if I need an interpreter?

We offer support in English, Ukrainian and Russian. For other languages, please let us know when booking and we will arrange interpreter support.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We aim to offer appointments within 5 working days. Urgent matters — such as imminent eviction or court dates — are prioritised.

What happens after my appointment?

Your advisor will summarise the guidance given and outline next steps. For complex matters, we will provide ongoing casework support or refer you to a specialist.
