Our Founder

From Community Advice to Founding the Clinic

Founded on the belief that everyone deserves clear, compassionate legal guidance, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Founder of Pro Bono Legal Advice Clinic

Founder & Director

Pro Bono Legal Advice Clinic

"Justice should never be a luxury. Every person — regardless of income, background or circumstance — deserves to understand their rights and have someone in their corner."

The Pro Bono Legal Advice Clinic was founded with a single, unwavering conviction: that the legal system should work for everyone, not just those who can afford it. What began as a grassroots community effort has grown into a dedicated service helping hundreds of people navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

With a background spanning community advocacy, legal guidance and social justice, our founder has spent years witnessing first-hand the devastating impact that lack of legal access can have on individuals and families. The clinic exists to bridge that gap — offering free, compassionate, and practical legal support to those who need it most.

Community-rooted mission
Multilingual & inclusive
Committed to social justice
Trusted by hundreds of clients

Independent & Community-Led: The clinic is not a firm of solicitors and is not regulated by the SRA. We provide free legal guidance, signposting and support to help people access the justice they deserve.

Helping Nadia Secure the Correct Benefits

Nadia, a Ukrainian woman of pension age living independently in the UK, needed help understanding Pension Credit and Housing Benefit. We guided her through the claims process and later helped her report an increase in her rent.

After Nadia stopped working part-time, she notified the DWP of this change of circumstances. However, her Pension Credit continued to be calculated as though she were still receiving earnings. We helped her submit a complaint requesting reassessment from the effective date of the change and payment of the resulting underpayment. We continue to guide her through the DWP complaints process.

Nadia submits all correspondence herself, keeps track of every deadline and approaches the process methodically. By explaining each stage and helping her prepare her own letters, we empower her to understand and manage her case independently.
